# What video editing costs in Israel: an editor, a freelancer, or AI

This guide compares ways of working, not named products or named editors. It says what moves a price and how to compare offers; for any editor or tool, its own quote or price list is the source.

## What changes the price

- The length of the raw footage and of the finished video.
- Captions, especially Hebrew captions that need proofreading.
- Graphics and animation, music and sound effects.
- How many revision rounds are included.
- How fast you need it back.

## How to compare quotes

- Per finished video, not per hour or per month.
- With VAT, or without it, the same way for every quote.
- The revision rounds included, and what one more costs.
- Delivery time, from upload to a file you can post.
- What happens if the result isn't usable.

## The costs that don't show on a quote

Your own time: briefing, waiting, watching drafts and writing fixes. And the waiting itself: a video that comes back in days is posted days later.

## A worked example, with ion's prices

Prices in shekels, VAT included, from ion's price list. A video on a plan comes to ₪10–₪14.

- **Basic:** ₪97 a month paid monthly, or ₪78 a month paid yearly, for 7 videos with footage up to 2 minutes each: ₪13.86 or ₪11.14 a video.
- **Professional:** ₪299 a month paid monthly, or ₪239 a month paid yearly, for 23 videos with footage up to 5 minutes each: ₪13 or ₪10.39 a video.

Business: Priced by the videos you make.

Credit packs, with no subscription:

- 70 credits for ₪70: about 5 short videos, ₪14 each.
- 210 credits for ₪179: about 15 short videos, ₪11.93 each.
- 560 credits for ₪429: about 40 short videos, ₪10.73 each.
- 1400 credits for ₪1000: about 100 short videos, ₪10 each.

A video costs credits by the length of the footage you upload, since that's what the work grows with. On Professional, footage up to 5 minutes is one video.

- Footage up to 2 min: 14 credits
- Footage up to 5 min: 21 credits
- Footage up to 10 min: 35 credits
- Footage up to 20 min: 56 credits

- **Unlimited editing by hand:** Cuts, captions, graphics, the look and versions, free.
- **Unlimited requests to ion:** Ask for changes in your own words, as often as you like. A request ion designs from scratch shows its price first (7 credits).
- **5 exports:** Then 7 credits for 5 more; unlimited on Professional.
- **A video that fails costs nothing:** Its credits come back to you by themselves.

So if you make up to 7 short videos a month, Basic covers them; for up to 23, or footage up to 5 minutes, Professional; for a month that needs more, a pack.

## Where ion fits, and where it doesn't

### What ion does here

- A 90-second video is usually ready in about 5 minutes, the full-quality file included; longer footage takes longer. You can close the page meanwhile, and we'll let you know when it's ready.
- Unlimited editing by hand: Cuts, captions, graphics, the look and versions, free.
- A video that fails before it's ready costs nothing: its credits come back by themselves.
- Prices include VAT.

### Where ion isn't the tool

- ion works from the footage you upload: it doesn't film anything new or change what is in the picture. Any cutaways it adds come from public stock footage libraries.
- ion has no free plan, and the Business plan is priced with each team.
